The SPanD project is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie action aiming to provide a comprehensive observational understanding of IMF variations using a wide variety of techniques, from spectroscopic analysis to dynamical modelling. Furthermore, the SPanD project was planned to study IMF variations beyond the local Universe, which is a fundamental step in order to understand the chemical enrichment and the baryonic cycle in the early Universe.
